Paula Cardoso (Portugal) was elected Rapporteur of the General Committee on Economic Affairs, Science, Technology and Environment at the 2024 Annual Session in Bucharest.

She has been the Head of Portuguese Delegation at the OSCE PA since 2022 and is a member of the Ad Hoc Committee on Countering Terrorism.

Cardoso is a member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD). She first served as a Member of Parliament from 2009 to 2015 and was re-elected in 2022. She is the Chairperson of the Committee on Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Liberties, and Guarantees (First Committee).

With a background in law, she also serves as a Deputy Head of the PSD Parliamentary Group from 2022 to 2024.
