Gudrun Kugler (Austria) was elected Vice-President at the 2024 Annual Session in Bucharest.
She previously served three terms as Rapporteur of the Second Committee.
Serving in the National Council since 2017, Kugler is known for her work on human trafficking and the abolition of the death penalty. As deputy chairwoman of the ÖVP women in the 15th district of Vienna, she is area spokesperson for human rights and for displaced persons.
She has previously served as Councilor in the Vienna City Council and as an advisor to non-profit organizations.
She holds advanced degrees in law and theological studies. In addition to her work with the OSCE PA, on the international stage, she has experience in the United Nations, European Union and Council of Europe.
In the PA, she serves as Vice-Chair of the OSCE PA Ad Hoc Committee on Migration.
