An Italian Riccardo Migliori has been elected as president of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA). This decision was made during the OSCE session held in Monaco, OSCE official website said on Monday.
Migliori became the first Italian elected president of the 56-country Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly.
Migliori said he was honored to have the trust of his colleagues and looked forward to working with delegations across the region to tangibly strengthen commitments to human rights, military co-operation, and economic and environmental protection.
During the session five vice-presidents of the OSCE PA were also elected.
