COPENHAGEN, 30 January 2017 – OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Christine Muttonen (MP, Austria) today issued a statement following the apparent terrorist attack on a mosque in Quebec, Canada:
“I strongly condemn last night’s shooting at a mosque in the city of Quebec, and I offer my condolences to the families of the victims and our friends in Canada. This heinous attack painfully underlines that violent extremism knows no particular faith or nationality. I encourage all OSCE participating States to remain united and resolute in the fight against terrorism and further reinforce co-operation to identify and prevent such acts of extremist violence.”
