Implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 2250 and Youth, Peace and Security Agenda: Role of Parliamentarians

A Parliamentary Web Dialogue on 15 June will provide an opportunity for OSCE PA Members to hear from experts and professionals about the UN’s Youth, Peace and Security agenda and discuss the role of parliamentarians in implementation of UN SCR 2250. The event will also introduce a proposal of establishment of an informal working group on Youth, Peace and Security among interested parliamentarians with the aim to continue learning and exchange of best practices on Youth, Peace and Security, intensify the Assembly’s work on youth engagement and to promote implementation of UNSCR 2250 on national levels.
Participants of the webinar will be offered a possibility to exchange and discuss the implementation of UNSCR 2250 and share their national best practices. The discussions will feature a video address by UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth, Jayathma Wickramanayake, and keynote presentations from experts and professionals. Keynote presentations will be followed by an open debate among participants. Interventions are foreseen by parliamentarians, in addition to expert guest speakers.
